BookBound: We’ve partnered with BookBound to streamline your textbook purchases. Simply visit their website, select your grade, and choose the required books. You can have them delivered to your door or collect them from their offices. Digital book options are also available for added convenience.
Snapplify: If you prefer going digital, Snapplify is your go-to option. Create an account, join the Moore House Academy group, and purchase the necessary textbooks online.
Teacher’s Guides: For parents teaching at home without a tutor center, we recommend purchasing Teacher’s Guides. These resources are invaluable for marking daily activities and ensuring your child’s progress.

Digital vs. Hardcopies: While digital textbooks are convenient, remember that South Africa’s load shedding can disrupt learning if devices aren’t charged. Plan accordingly to avoid interruptions.

This is a Step by step guide to join the Moore House Subject Groups from the Snapplify Engage Platform.

Open a new browser, paste the sign-up link,
The invitation screen will then come up
Click on the let’s get started green button
This will then take you to the authentication screen
Please do not you enter any username or password in this section.
Rather click on the authentication type for your email whether it is a google email address, a Microsoft email address or an Apple email address, in my case I’m using a google email address.
If your email does not come up on this window, please type in your Email address where the space will be provided.

Does Moore House Academy provide textbooks?

No, Moore House Academy does not include textbooks in our fee structure. Parents are responsible for purchasing textbooks separately.

Can I choose between digital and hard copy textbooks?

Yes, you can choose either digital or hard copy versions of the textbooks. The choice is entirely up to you, and the cost of the textbooks will be an additional expense.

Are there specific textbooks required for each subject?

We have a recommend textbook list that aligns with our annual planner per subject however any CAPS-aligned textbook will suffice. As long as it adheres to the CAPS curriculum, it will provide the necessary content for study.

How do I know if a textbook is CAPS-aligned?

Look for textbooks that are explicitly labeled as CAPS-aligned. These textbooks will meet the standards set by the South African curriculum.

Are textbooks enough to cover all topics for exams?

While textbooks provide a solid foundation, they may not cover all the concepts in detail. It’s important to understand that exams and tests are based on the CAPS curriculum and SACAI guidelines, not directly from the textbooks.

Do I need to buy new textbooks every year?

The curriculum changes may affect certain subjects, so it’s best to check each year if updated versions of textbooks are required.

CAPS-aligned textbooks can be purchased online through Snapliffy, at major bookstores, or from online educational suppliers like BookBound. You can choose the vendor that suits your needs.

We encourage you to look at the links provided for BookBound and Snapliffy, but you can explore both local and online stores for options that best meet your budget and preferences.

What are the set works?

Set works refer to literary works that are required reading for language subjects in each grade. These works are typically novels, plays, poems, or other forms of literature that students are expected to study in depth as part of their language curriculum. At Moore House Academy, the lists of required set works for each grade can be found through the provided links on our website.
